Commercial aircraft deliveries in Jan-Apr this year closely match the production speed from 2016.  406 aircraft have been delivered to customers so far.
 
The estimated value of £8bn to UK industry is the largest amount ever recorded for the first four months of any year.  £5.5bn of the record value is thought to have come from the delivery of 109 wide-body aircraft and another £2.5bn from one single aisle aircraft.
 
This is a welcome boost for both the UK and worldwide aerospace industries, with 13,382 orders now in the backlog.
